We are to rescue survivors from the Colorado from the planet Valiso.  The ship crashed there a few days ago.

"Captain, we will arrive to Valiso in 17 hours," reported Ensign Murphy.

"I'm going to get some rest," stated Leno.

Captain Leno went to quarters.  Kamara stopped by.

"What are you doing?" asked Kamara.

     "Nothing."

"Do you want to go to the holosuite?"

"Sure.  I have nothing else to do."

Captain Leno and Kamara went to the holodeck.  They ran an old Klingon battle simulation.

"I have to get some rest.  I haven't slept in almost two days," stated Leno.

Captain Leno returned to his quarters.  He slept for six hours.

"Captain, we are arriving to the coordinates, but sensors are not picking up the ship," reported Lieutenant Angela Kelly.

"Send six away teams to the surface.  Go heavily armed," ordered Leno.

The six away teams were beamed to the surface.  Captain Leno went to the Main Bridge.

"Brooks to Texas," stated Brooks, over his communicator.

     "Go ahead, Mike," answered Leno.

"We cannot locate any survivors.  They are signs of life.  The ship is badly damaged and not salvageable."

"Commander, I've found someone.  He is injured," stated Lieutenant Dayan.

     "Beam him to the Texas."

The crewmember was beamed directly to Sickbay.  Captain Leno went to Sickbay.

     "How is he?" asked Leno.

"He's fine now," answered Doctor Adams.

"Can I go talk to him?"

     "Not too long."

"What is your name?" asked Leno.

     "Lieutenant Don Ray."

     "What happened to the Colorado?"

"We were attacked by the Dominion.  We weren't able to get away.  We had to make a crash landing on that planet."

     "Did anyone else survive?"

"About half the ship.  They are in a well-protected cave underground."

"That's why we can't find anyone."

"I can locate the cave on sensors."

Captain Leno and Lieutenant Ray went to the Main Bridge.  They went over to a sensor display.

"The cave is located here and its about 40 meters underground,"

stated Ray.

"Texas to Brooks," stated Leno, over his communicator.

     "Brooks here."

"We've located the cave.  We are sending the display down now."

"That's about two kilometers from where I am now."

Commander Brooks walked over towards the cave.  He entered it and began to climb down.

"We're saved," chanted some of the survivors.

     "Brooks to Texas."

"Those things don't work down here," stated Captain Triov.

"How long have you been down here?" asked Brooks.

"A little less than a week."

"The Texas is in orbit and will begin to beam all of you up there," stated Brooks.

The survivors began to climb up the cave wall.

"Texas, we are ready to beam up.  There's 242 of us," stated Brooks.

"We are ready to begin," stated Lieutenant Lewis Baker.

"You all must remain calm," stated Brooks.

"You have not been down here for 6 days," stated Triov.

"Remaining calm is the best thing to do in a crisis," stated Brooks.

Captain's Log Stardate: 51932.0

We have located 212 survivors out of 513 crewmembers of the Colorado.

"Captain, Admiral Noatioav is hailing," stated Brooks.

"I'll take in my ready room."

Captain Leno went into his ready room and turned on his desktop computer.

"Have you located the Colorado?" asked Noatioav.

"Yes, admiral, however, the ship is badly damaged," reported Leno.

"Remove anything of value and set the auto-destruct."

"The computer system is destroyed," reported Leno.

"Destroy the ship with torpedoes.  The technology must not fall into Dominion hands," stated Noatioav.

"We will begin right away," answered Leno.

A few crewmembers of the destroyed Colorado striped the ship of anything worth value.  The Texas was able to downloaded most of the Colorado's computer system.  The Texas than destroyed the ship with torpedoes.

"The ship has been destroyed," reported Lieutenant Commander Jones.

"Set a course for Starbase 120, Warp 8."

Commander completed his report of the Colorado crash site.  He handed it over Captain Leno.

"According to your report, some of the crewmembers were scared when you first approached them."

"They have been through a lot.  They might of thought the Jem'Hadar was coming for them."

"How much stuff was removed from the Colorado?"

"Approximately seven containers.  Mostly filled with padds,

phasers, computers, and personal items."

     "Where is that stuff now?"

"It is in Cargo Bay 2."

"I want the mission logs right before the ship crashed on the planet."

"I will send them to you right away."

"How much longer before we arrive to the starbase?"

     "About another 23 minutes."

     "Dismissed."

Commander Brooks returned to the Main Bridge.  Captain Leno walked out.

"Sensors are picking up single Jem'Hadar ship," reported Jones.

     "Red alert."

"Captain, our passengers are becoming highly nervous."

"Send a few security officers down there."

     "Shielding at 92%."

     "Evasive maneuvers."

     "Damage to the starboard nacelle."

"Omega 21.  Continue to fire weapons."

"The Jem'Hadar ship's shielding is failing."

"Lock torpedoes on their bridge and fire."

     "The ship has been destroyed."

     "Resume course to the starbase."

"The hit to the nacelle knocked our warp speed to 4," reported Murphy.

"We can't begin repairs until we've docked with the starbase," reported Jones.
