Imos

We are departing from Starbase 139. Our next mission is to make first contact with the planet Imos.
"I have set a course for Imos," reported Ensign Murphy.
"Go to warp 8 and engage," ordered Leno.
"We will arrive in a little less than two days."
"I'm going to my quarters."
Captain Leno went to his quarters. He later met Kamara in the holodeck.
We have arrived to Imos. A ship has left a while ago using a warp drive. We are waiting for the ship to return.
"Captain, the ship from Imos is returning," reported Commander
Brooks.
"Hail them."
"I am Sonje from the planet Imos. You are trespassing into our territory."
"I'm Captain Alex Leno of the United Federation of Planets. We are sent to planets who achieve warp flight."
"I will talk to President Frowl. I'll contact you later."
"That was brief," stated Brooks.
"The ship has disappeared into the planet's atmosphere," reported Jones.
"We haven't heard the last of Sonje," stated Leno.
"We are being hailed by the planet," stated Jones.
"On screen."
"Hello, Captain Leno. Sonje told me that you would like to talk to me about the United Federation of Planets. Would you like to meet on the Imos or your ship?" asked Frowl.
"The planet would be fine."
"I will meet you an about an hour."
"That will be fine."
Captain Leno beamed down to the planet. President Frowl met up with him. They went to Frowl's office.
"What is your mission?" asked Frowl.
"When a species accomplishes warp flight, we are sent to prepare them for what lies ahead for them. Starfleet has prepared a list of current dangers."
"Starfleet is in a war with this Dominion. What is this Starfleet and Dominion?"
"Starfleet is a branch of the United Federation of Planets that deals with deep-space exploratory, scientific, diplomatic, and a defensive agency. The Dominion is from another quadrant bent on taking over the Alpha Quadrant.
"I will overlook these items and get back to you. I will escort you to our lounge."
Captain Leno sat down while President Frowl overlooked the files. President Frowl walked out of his office.
"How long before we can join the UFP?" asked Frowl.
"It usually takes a few months. It sometimes take a few years, depending on the planet."
"I think joining UFP would be good for us."
"Submit the application as soon as possible."
"I will have to you in a few days."
"I'll take with me back to the Federation Council to review it."
"How close is the Dominion to taking over the Alpha Quadrant?"
"It gets closer every day, however, we are gaining some ground on them."
"I'm going to finish up that application."
"I need to get back to my ship."
"Could you send a engineering crew over to the test ship to look the ship over?"
"I'll have sent over within the hour."
Captain Leno beamed back to the Texas. An engineering crew was sent to the test ship.
"How did it go?" asked Brooks.
"Good. President Frowl will be sending his application in a few days," answered Leno.
"I will send it to you as soon as it comes in."
"I'm going to my quarters and getting some rest."
"I'll see you later."
Captain Leno went to his quarters. He replicated dinner and went to bed.
He got up early the next morning. He went to the Main Bridge.
"Status report," stated Leno.
"Three more ships have left Imos to test their warp drives," answered Jones.
"Has President Frowl sent his application?"
"Not yet," answered Brooks.
"Captain, president Frowl is hailing," reported Jones.
"I'll take it in my ready room."
Captain Leno went to his ready room.
"What can I do for you?" asked Leno.
"Two of your crew members are missing."
"We'll send teams to begin searching for them."
"Also, on of our ships has been stolen. We only have made two test flights today."
"We'll also scan for the ship."
"Which crew members are missing?"
"Hall and Mason. I have to get back to work."
"Mike, I need you in my ready room," stated Leno, over the comm system.
"On my way."
Commander Brooks rushed over to Captain Leno's ready room.
"What's happening?" asked Brooks.
"Lieutenant Commander Hall and Ensign Mason are missing. I want you to coordinate teams to search for them and talk to the rest of the engineering team we sent to Imos."
"I will begin right away."
Chapter 2
"Rescue teams have been sent down to the planet and we have not located the stolen ship," reported Brooks.
"I want them found," ordered Leno.
"President Frowl wants to talk with you," stated Jones.
"I will beam down to the planet. I'll take Lieutenant Dayan with me."
Captain Leno and Lieutenant Dayan beamed to the planet. Captain Leno went to President Frowl's office.
"We believe we know who has abducted your crew. We believe it was the NWCC," stated Frowl.
"What is the NWCC?"
"NWCC stands for the No Warp Civilization Committee. They're against Imos using a warp drive."
"We need to find my crew and your ship."
"We have sent the rest of our fleet to scan for the ship. We are going to beam your crew off and destroy the ship."
"Let me know when you find the ship."
"I will."
Captain Leno and Lieutenant Dayan joined one of the search parties.
"We've searched about 20% of the planet," stated Lieutenant Max Smith.
"Captain, the Texas has located the stolen ship, however, our crew members are not on it," reported brooks.
"I'm returning to the ship."
Captain Leno returned to the ship. He went to the Main Bridge.
“Status report," requested Leno.
"The stolen ship is nearby, however, they are moving away at Warp 3," reported Murphy.
"Take us to the ship, Warp 5."
"Sensors can't locate Peter or Andrew on the ship," reported Jones.
"Continue to scan for them."
"The ship has a total of three people on it," reported Murphy.
"The ship is going to explode," reported Lieutenant Kelly.
"Turn us around."
"Three people have beamed to the nearby planet."
"Gather an away team and have them beamed to the planet."
"The away has been sent," reported Kelly.
"The ship will explode in 20 seconds," reported Murphy.
"The away team has found and captured the three people that beamed off the ship, however, our crew members weren't any of them," reported Kelly.
"Beam the crew and prisoners to the brig. They may know where Peter and Andrew are," ordered Leno.
"The ship will explode in three seconds," reported Murphy.
A large explosion from the destroyed ship knocked a few of the Texas' crew to the
ground.
"Damage report," requested Leno.
"No major damage, just a few cuts and broken bones," answered Murphy.
"Take us back to Imos."
"We will arrive three minutes."
"I'll be back in a few minutes."
Captain Leno went to the brig.
"He won't tell us were Hall or Mason are," stated Dayan.
"I'm going to talk with them," stated Leno.
"Sonje, what are you doing with the NWCC?" asked Leno.
"I don't think Imos should use the warp drive. We're not ready for it."
"What have you done with me crew?"
"I haven't seen them. We weren't the ones who abducted them."
"Were they on that ship?"
"Not to my knowledge. I'm against the warp drive, but I wouldn't abduct someone."
Captain Leno went into another section of the brig to talk to Counselor Donald.
"Is he telling the truth?" asked Leno.
"From I have sensed, he is telling the truth. Peter or Andrew weren't on that ship. Our sensors proved that. They might still be on Imos."
"We need to find their headquarters."
Captain Leno returned to the bridge.
"We have returned to Imos," stated Murphy.
"The away team have not located Hall or Mason," reported Kelly.
"Begin searching for large buildings on the planet and their use."
"Sensors have located 43 buildings and two of them are abandon."
"Send away teams to those two buildings."
"Away teams have been sent," reported Kelly.
"Hall and Mason have been located in the second building," reported Murphy.
"There's is a lot of phasers being shot down there," reported Kelly.
"Send additional teams. I'm going down. Lieutenant, you have the bridge," stated Leno.
"Be careful," stated Kelly.
Captain Leno beamed to the surface. He got out his phaser and used it to defend himself with it.
The away team was able to get into the building. Captain Leno founded Lieutenant Commander Hall and Ensign Mason.
"Are you all right?" asked Leno.
"Just a few cuts," answered Hall.
"Return to the ship. Go to sickbay and get checked out."
Lieutenant Commander Hall and Ensign Mason were transported back to the ship. Captain Leno went to talk to President Frowl.
"Have you found your crewmembers?" asked Frowl.
"We found them in the NWCC headquarters. The building was raided. We are holding its highest members are being held by us."
"Turn them over to us. We'll punish them."
"I will have them sent down in a few hours after we question them."
"That will be fine."
"By the way, one on our prisoners is Sonje."
"He was my most trusted aid. He wanted this warp drive. It took almost 12 years to make it. Cardassians kidnapped Sonje over 15 years ago. He was able to get the plans for the warp drive from his abductors.
Captain Leno returned to the Texas.
"We have questioned the prisoners. Peter and Andrew have been released from Sickbay," reported Brooks.
"Send the prisoners back to Imos."
"They have been transported back."
"We are receiving President Frowl's application to join the Federation," reported Jones.
Captain Leno went to his ready room. He contacted President Frowl.
"We received your application," stated Leno.
"The prisoners have been locked up and will go on trial in a few weeks. The NWCC's headquarters have been destroyed. I'm sorry we had to put your crew through this."
"We're just happy to have them back. We will take the application directly to the Federation. You will be notified in a few months if you have been accepted."
"Thank you. We will monitor the Dominion ships in this sector."
We have delivered Imos' request to join the Federation. They will be notified in three months.
