Chapter 1

 

     "Captain Leno, you are receiving a transmission," stated Commander Brooks, over the comm system.

     "Send it in."

     Captain Leno turned on his desktop computer.

     "Admiral Brinks, what can I do for you?" asked Leno.

     "Starfleet Intelligence has found your father's killer."

     "Where are they?"

     "Two light-years from your location.  They're coming for you."

     "What am I to do?"

     "Go after them, but be careful."

     "I will."

 

Captain's Log Stardate: 51499.7

 

     We are to capture three Klingon ships.  On board are Klingons who killed 50 Federation delegates, including my father.

 

     Captain Leno went to the Main Bridge.

     "We have set a course to the Klingon ships," stated Brooks.

     "Engage!" exclaimed Leno.

     "What's happening?"

     "I need to talk to you in my ready room."

     Captain Leno and Commander Brooks left the Main Bridge.

     "We are about to go into a hostile situation," stated Leno.

     "To do what?"

     "Bring Klingons to justice, who killed 50 delegates, including my father."

     "When did this happen?"

     "It happened in 2372, near the Klingon border."

     "I remember hearing about them."

     "How long before we reach the Klingon ships?"

     "Ten hours."

     Captain Leno went to Kamara's quarters.

     "You look upset," stated Kamara.

     "I am.  My father's killers are coming after me," stated Leno.

 

Captain's Log Stardate: 51502.9

 

     We are six hours from the Klingon ships.

 

     "How are you are feeling?" asked Kamara.

     "A little better.  I be happy when those Klingons are in a Federation prison," answered Leno.

     "How come you were selected to after the Klingons?"

     "Since I have the most experience with them."

     "How many ships do the Klingons have?"

     "Three."

     "Captain Leno, a Klingon ship has decloaked 900,000 kilometers and

is closing," stated Lieutenant Commander Jones.

     "On my way."

     "Be careful," stated Kamara.

     Captain Leno rushed to be Main Bridge.

     "Red alert.  Slow to impulse," ordered Leno.

     "They're charging weapons," reported Jones.

     "Evasive maneuvers."

     "Shielding down to 89%."

     "Hull breach on Deck 9," reported Ensign Wilson.

     "Two more ships are decloaking," reporting Jones.

     "Ensign Murphy, take us on our original course, Warp 7," ordered Leno.

     "The ships are following," reported Jones.

     "Shielding down to 69%," reported Wilson.

     "Minor damage to Engineering."

     "Hull breach on Deck 12.  We've lost internal sensors."

     "I want a full report in one hour," ordered Leno.

     Captain Leno went to his ready room.  He ordered a cup of coffee from the replicator.

 

Captain's Log Stardate: 51504.7

 

     Three Klingon ships ambushed us.  The ship sustained minor damage.

 

     The doorbell chimed.

     "Come in," stated Leno.

     Commander Brooks walked in and sat down.

     "How does the ship look?" asked Leno.

     "Most of the damage has been repaired."

     "How much longer before the rest is repaired?"

     "Two hours at the most."

     "Keep me informed."

     Commander Brooks returned to the Main Bridge while Captain Leno went to Kamara's quarters.

     "How is the ship?" asked Kamara.

     "A few more repairs are needed."

     "Do you want something to eat or drink?"

     "I'll take a cup of coffee."

     Kamara ordered two cups of coffee from the replicator.

     "Thank you," answered Leno.

     "Captain Leno, Admiral Brinks wants to talk to you," stated Jones, over the comm system.

     Captain Leno turned on Kamara's desktop computer.

     "How is it going?" asked Brinks.

     "We were attacked by three Klingon ships."

     "The Nebula is nearby and has been ordered to help you."

     "Those Klingon ships aren't far behind us."

     "The Nebula will meet up with you in four hours."

     "Thank you," stated Leno.

     "Keep me informed."

     "How is it going?" asked Kamara.

     "We are going to have help from the Nebula."

     "Is that going to be enough?"

     "I hope so,"


Chapter 2

 

     "Captain, the Nebula has entered short-range sensors," reported Jones.
     "I'll be there in a few minutes."

 

Captain's Log Stardate: 51506.8

 

     We have met up with the Nebula and have continued on our course.  I will meet with Captain Brooks in a little while.

 

     "We will arrive in one hour," reported Murphy.

     Captain Leno went to his ready room.  He ordered a cup of coffee from the replicator.  Commander Brooks walked in.

     "The Klingon ships are catching up," reported Brooks.

     "Adjust our course."

     "How are you doing?"

     "Good."

     Commander Brooks returned to the Main Bridge.

     "Commander, the Klingon ships have entered weapons range," reported Jones.

     "Red alert,  Continue course, Warp 9.7."

     Captain Leno walked out of his ready room.

     "Status report," ordered Leno.

     "The Klingon ships have entered weapons range," answered Jones.

     "Ensign Murphy, slow to impulse."

     "Slowing to impulse."

     "Shielding to 87%," reported Jones.

     "Return fire."

     "Minor damage to Deck 8," reported Wilson.

     "Get us out of here, Warp 9.7," ordered Leno.

     "Only two Klingon ships are still following us," reported Murphy.

     "Begin repairs to the ship," ordered Leno.

     "The Nebula received minor damage," reported Brooks.

     Captain Leno went to his quarters.  He went to relax and read a book.

     "Captain, we are application the last known coordinates of the other Klingon ships," reported Jones, over the comm system.

     "Begin scanning for the ships," ordered Leno.

 

Captain's Log Stardate: 51511.9

 

     We have entered arrived to the last known position of the Klingon ships.  Repairs have completed to the ship.

 

     "Captain, three Klingon ships are decloaking in front of us," reported Jones.

     "Red alert," ordered Leno.

     "They are hailing us," reported Jones.

     "On screen."

     "I will kill you like I did you father," stated Wartok.

     "Get him off the screen now!"

     "They are charging weapons," reported Wilson.

     "Return fire," ordered Leno.

     "Shields holding."

     "The ships that were following us, will be here in seven minutes," reported Murphy.

     "The Nebula has received major damage to its warp nacelles," reported Brooks.

     "Take us closer to the Nebula," ordered Leno.

     "Shields at 61%," reported Jones.

     "Direct weapons toward Wartok's ship," ordered Leno.

     "There's a fire in the Main Shuttlebay," stated Brooks.

     "The fire suppression systems are not working," stated Wilson.

     "Get a crew down there," ordered Leno.

     "Direct hit to the starboard nacelle," reported Jones.

     "We can't go to warp," reported Murphy.

     "Ensign Murphy, set a course away from the Klingon ships, full impulse."

     "The Nebula has gone to Warp 4," reported Jones.

     "The Klingon ships are going after the Nebula," reported Murphy.

     "We can't go after them," stated Brooks.

     "Begin repairs to the ship," ordered Leno.

     "Repairs will take about two hours," reported Brooks.

     "The Nebula has gone to Warp 9.6," reported Jones.

     "Continue to monitor the Klingon ships and the Nebula."

     "The Klingon ships are attacking the Nebula," reported Jones.

     Captain Leno went to his quarters.  He took out a photo album.  Kamara stopped by.

     "What are you looking at?" asked Kamara.

     "Just looking at some old photos," answered Leno.

     "It must be hard for you looking at those pictures."

     "It does bring back some old memories.  That's why those Klingons must pay for killing him."

     "Captain, the Nebula will arrive in one hour.  The Klingon ships will arrive in three hours.  Repairs to the ship are complete," reported Brooks, over the comm system.

     "Set a course for the Klingon ships, maximum warp."

     Captain Leno and Kamara went to the holosuite located on Deck 11.  Captain Leno relaxed.

     "Captain, we are 10 minutes from the Klingon ships," reported Brooks.

     "I'll be there in five minutes," stated Leno.


Chapter 3

     "Status report," ordered Leno.

     "The Klingon ships will be here in four minutes," answered Jones.

     "Red alert."

     "The Nebula has moved into position."

     "Take us closer to the Klingon ships."

     "All decks report ready," stated Brooks.

     "Shielding at 89%," reported Wilson.

     "Return fire.  Fire towards their weapon systems and warp drive."

     "We have lost power on Deck 13."

     "Evacuate that deck," ordered Brooks.

     "Minor damage to two of the Klingon ships," reported Jones.

     "Hull breaches on Decks 6, 14, and 17," reported Wilson.

     "Seal off the breaches," ordered Brooks.

     "One of the Klingon ships has been destroyed," reported Jones.

     "The Lexington will be here in one hour," reported Wilson.

     "Shielding is at 39%," reported Jones.

     "Someone has beamed to a nearby planet from Wartok's ship," reported Brooks.

     "Take us to the planet," ordered Leno.

     "It is Wartok," reported Jones.

     "I'm going down there."

     "You are beaming into a dangerous situation," stated Brooks.

     "I know, but Wartok must be stopped," stated Leno.

     "Keep in touch."

     "I will."

     Captain Leno went to his quarters and grabbed his bat'leth, given to him by Kamara.  He then beamed to the surface of the planet.  He met up with Wartok.

 

First Officer's Log Stardate: 51513.4

 

     Captain Leno has beamed into a dangerous situation.  He went to a nearby planet to bring Wartok to justice.  Wartok is accused of killing 50 Federation ambassadors over the last five years.

 

     "I've lost Captain's Leno signal," reported Jones.

     "Get an away team down there immediately," ordered Brooks.

     The search party beamed to the planet.  Klingons confronted them.  They were able to get past the Klingons.  They founded Captain Leno nearby.

     "Captain, are you all right?" asked Lieutenant Dayan.

     "A few cuts and bruises," replied Leno.

     "Where is Wartok?"

     "He's dead," answered Leno.

     "Texas, five to beam directly to Sickbay."

     "The five crew members found themselves in Sickbay.  Doctor Adams began checking Captain Leno.  Commander Brooks went to Sickbay.

     "How is he?" asked Brooks.

     "He will be fine, however, he will need some rest," answered Adams.

     "Commander Brooks, we are receiving a transmission from Admiral Brinks."

     "On my way," answered Brooks.

   "Where is Captain Leno?" asked Brinks.

     "He is in sickbay."

     "What has happened."

     "Captain Leno beamed down to a nearby planet and killed Wartok.  The Klingon ships were destroyed and the prisoners are in the brig."

     "Take the remaining Klingons to the nearest starbase.  Captain Leno is relieved of duty until further notice."

     "The Texas will arrive to the closest starbase in a few days."

     "Admiral Brinks out."

     Commander Brooks went to the Main Bridge.

     "Ensign Murphy, set a course to the Starbase 203, maximum warp," ordered Brooks.

 

First Officer's Log Stardate: 51518.2

 

     Captain Leno was able to locate Wartok.  They were involved in a fight.  Wartok was killed.  We are heading for Starbase 203 to deliver the remaining Klingons.

 

Captain's Personal Log Stardate: 51519.7

 

     We have delivered the remaining Klingon prisoners.  I will not be court-martialed.
