The Ferengi Way

"Captain Leno, Doctor Adams would like to speak with you," stated Lieutenant Commander Jones.
"Send him in."
"I have to attend a medical seminar in a few days," stated Adams.
"How long will you be gone?"
"Three days. I will need a shuttlecraft to get there."
"Shuttle 5 will be ready."
"Thank you."
I'm on my way to Saeyake. I'll be attending a medical seminar for a dew days.
"Doctor Adams, you are cleared for docking," stated Lieutenant Hoover.
Doctor Adams landed his shuttle on the planet. He went to the medical office to register for the seminars.
"Name please?" asked the receptionist.
"Steve Adams."
"Your quarters are located on Deck 4, Section 13."
Doctor Adams went to his quarters and quickly unpacked his belongings. He rested for a few moments before going to a seminar.
The seminar lasted for four hours. Doctor Adams went to the lounge for dinner. After dinner, he returned to his quarters and went to bed.
The next morning, he got up early and went outside to go to his shuttle for a few things he forgot to bring to his quarters.
He brought the stuff to his quarters. He then went to eat breakfast. Later on, he went to the next seminar.
The seminar has concluded and I'm returning to the Texas.
Doctor Adams boarded his shuttlecraft and a course for the Texas. While on his way to the Texas, a Ferengi ship attacked his shuttle.
"Shielding at 62%," reported the computer.
Doctor Adams quickly changed his course, however, the Ferengi ship locked a tractor beam onto the shuttle. He was being pulled towards the Ferengi ship.
"Computer, send a distress signal," ordered Adams.
The shuttle entered the Ferengi ship. Doctor Adams grabbed a phaser and waited for the Ferengi to come.
On the Texas, Lieutenant Commander Jones has just received Doctor Adams, distress signal.
"Captain, I'm picking up a distress signal from Doctor Adams," reported Jones.
"Let's here it."
This Lieutenant Steve Adams of the Starship Texas aboard the Shuttlecraft Nobel. I have been taken prisoner by a Ferengi ship. I'm near the planet Saeyake. I'm deleting the shuttle's memory core.
"The message repeats."
"Ensign Murphy, set a course for Saeyake, Warp 9."
"We will arrive in four hours."
Captain's Log Stardate: 51574.9
Doctor Adams has been taken prisoner by the Ferengi. We will begin locating the ship.
On the Ferengi ship, Doctor Adams had been taken to a holding cell. The Ferengi were studying his shuttle.
"You will bring your shuttle's computer systems on-line," ordered DaiMon Mek.
"The computer's memory has been deleted."
"Sensors are picking up the U.S.S. Texas," stated Lom.
"Prepare to attack them."
"Weapons are ready."
"Wait for them to enter weapon range."
"They have entered range."
"Begin the attack."
On the Texas, the crew was ready for the Ferengi's attack on them.
"Red alert," ordered Leno.
"The Ferengi ship has charged weapons," stated Jones.
"Fire a warning shot."
"They are firing weapons."
"Shielding is down to 87%."
"Return fire."
"Minor damage to Deck 6."
"Hail the Ferengi."
"They are not responding."
"Take us within 30,000 kilometers. Begin scanning for Steve."
"I have located him, however, that part of the ship is heavily shielded."
"Concentrate towards that part of the ship."
"The Ferengi are hailing us," reported Ensign Wilson.
"On screen."
DaiMon Mek appeared on the front view screen.
"You will return Doctor Adams and his shuttlecraft, immediately," ordered Leno.
"We found it and are keeping it," replied Mek.
"You are going to return Doctor Adams and the shuttlecraft, or we will take them back."
"They have cut communication," reported Wilson.
"Resume firing on the Ferengi ship," ordered Leno.
"We will are unable to beam Steve out," sated Jones.
"The Ferengi ship has gone to warp," stated Wilson.
"Follow it."
We have not been able to rescue Doctor Adams. We are nearing Ferengi space.
"We are nearing Ferengi space," stated Murphy.
"Red alert."
"We will enter Ferengi space in three minutes," reported Murphy.
"Slow to impulse. Notify Starfleet Command of our current situation."
"The Ferengi ship is turning around," reported Murphy.
"Ready torpedoes."
"The Ferengi have entered weapon range," reported Jones.
"Fire torpedoes."
"We've lost life support on Deck 7. Evacuating that deck," reported Wilson.
"I can't get a lock on Steve," reported Jones.
"They have moved him into the middle of the ship."
"Where is the shuttlecraft?" asked Leno.
"In one of the outer cargo bays," answered Jones.
"We have to get Steve out of there," stated Leno.
Chapter 2
"Starfleet Command has authorized us to get back Steve and the shuttlecraft, no matter what it takes," stated Leno.
"The Ferengi ship is nearby," reported Murphy.
"Take us to it. Red alert."
"We will in two minutes."
"The Ferengi ship has charged weapons," reported Wilson.
"We will enter weapon range in 43 seconds," reported Jones.
"Aim for their propulsion systems," ordered Leno.
"The Ferengi ship is hailing us," reported Wilson.
"On screen."
"If you continue to attack, we will kill Doctor Adams," stated Mek.
"You will return Doctor Adams and his shuttlecraft, or will destroy your ship."
"We will do such thing."
"Captain, the shuttle has left the Ferengi ship on its own power," reported Jones.
"Tractor it," ordered Leno.
"It is out of range."
"Get it in range."
"The Ferengi have us in a tractor beam," reported Murphy.
"Hull stress is rising," reported Wilson.
"We have broken free," reported Murphy.
"The shuttle is not far," reported Jones.
"How is the shuttle moving. The memory was deleted?" asked Commander Brooks.
"The whole core may not of been deleted," replied Jones.
"We need to stop it," stated Leno.
"We will be in range in one minute," reported Murphy.
"The Ferengi ship is right behind us," reported Jones.
"Shielding at 53," reported Jones.
"We are in range," reported Murphy.
"Tractor it."
"Bring the shuttle into the Main Shuttlebay. Get a security team down there," ordered Leno.
A security team rushed to the Main Shuttlebay.
"We have a Ferengi prisoner," reported Lieutenant Dayan.
"Take him to the brig. I'll be there in a few minutes," stated Leno.
Captain Leno went to talk to the prisoner
"Where is Dr. Adams?" asked Leno.
"I'm not talking," replied Lom.
"Let me know when he is ready to talk," ordered Leno.
Captain Leno went to the shuttlebay.
"What have you found?" asked Leno.
"The Ferengi were able to save 80% of the shuttle's memory. A few things were deleted," answered Lieutenant Commander Peter Hall.
"Keep me informed."
Captain Leno returned to the Main Bridge.
"Status report," requested Leno.
"The Ferengi ship has gone to warp," answered Murphy.
"I may be able to beam Steve off in three minutes, however, we have to be about 15,000 kilometers away from the Ferengi ship," reported Jones.
"We're 18,000 kilometers," reported Murphy.
"A few more seconds," stated Jones.
"16,000 kilometers."
"Dropping shielding and locking on."
"Do you have him?" asked Leno.
"He's in Transporter Room 2."
"Raise shielding and lock weapons."
"Doctor Adams has been taken to Sickbay. He has a few burns, but he will be fine," stated Wilson.
"I'm going to Sickbay."
Captain Leno went to Sickbay and went over to Doctor Adams.
"How are you doing?"
"Much better now that I'm off that Ferengi ship."
"We're going after Mek. We have the shuttle in the Main Shuttlebay and Lom is in the brig."
"You may have a harder time getting Mek."
"We'll get him. Get some rest. I'll see you later."
"I need some rest. I haven't slept in two days."
Captain Leno returned to the Main Bridge.
"The Ferengi ship crossed the border 10 minutes ago," stated Murphy,
"Cross the border."
"We will cross the border in three minutes."
"Sensors have located three more ships gathering near Mek's ship," reported Wilson.
"The ships have changed course," reported Jones.
"Increase speed to Warp 8."
"We're crossing the border," reported Murphy.
The Ferengi ships have entered weapons range," reported Jones.
"Concentrate on Mek's ship," ordered Leno.
Chapter 3
"Shielding down to 81%," reported Jones.
"Mek's ship has been damaged," reported Wilson.
"Can you beam him off?" asked Leno.
"I am unable to get a lock on him," answered Wilson.
"Hull breach on Deck 6," reported Jones.
"Evacuate that deck," ordered Brooks.
"We are being hailed by Mek, stated Wilson.
"On screen."
"You will release Lom and return him to me, or I will have your ship destroyed," ordered Mek.
"He's been charged with stealing a Federation ship and abducting a Starfleet officer," replied Leno.
"You have been warned."
"The Ferengi ships have charged weapons," reported Jones.
"Mek's ship has lost shielding," reported Jones.
"Beam him off. Get a security team to Transporter Room 2," ordered Leno.
Mek was beamed to the Texas. He began fighting.
"We have Mek in custody," stated Dayan.
"Take him to the brig. I'll be down in a few minutes," ordered Leno.
Captain Leno went to the brig.
"You have been charged with abducting a Starfleet officer, stealing a Federation ship, and three charges of assault. You will be taken to Starbase 169 for a trial," stated Leno.
"I hate the Federation and Starfleet!" exclaimed Mek.
"You're going to be stuck with us a very long time," stated Dayan.
Captain Leno returned to the Main Bridge.
"Ensign Murphy, set a course for Starbase 169, Warp 6," ordered Leno.
"The Ferengi ships are not following us," stated Jones.
"They don't want to be locked up in our brig," stated Brooks.
"Or stand trial in a few days," added Jones.
We have arrived to Starbase 169. Mek and Lom have been dropped off and will go to trial next week. We will leave after the trial.
